Dr.Mohammad Uddin, University of South Australia/School of Engineering, Australia
Dr Mohammad Uddin is program director and lecturer in the School of Engineering at University of South Australia (UniSA). Right after completing his PhD study at University of Kyoto, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the University of California Davis (UCDavis) and the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Over the years, Dr Uddin developed his research interest and expertise in the area of mechanical design, manufacturing processing technologies, biomaterials and biomechanics,biomedical device manufacturing and CAD/CAM. He received a ‘Young Researcher Award’ from the Mazak Foundation (Japan) in 2006 for his outstanding research achievements. He published a significant number of high quality papers in the relevant research areas (please see the publication list below). In the past, Dr Uddin has been involved with ARC, state, industry and OLT funded projects on mechanical design and manufacturing processes for enhancing surface integrity and strength of components towards research and technological development and education.
